Just Beachy

As promised, a happy post today.

We still have a "lost kid" in the Jr High system.
We DO have a carpool for Jr High (if you live here
you will understand my anxiety--doubled this year
by cancer--at the Jr High carpool process!).

It's a new day, and of course I woke up and am
going to be OK today.  For today, I will take OKAY!

So back to the beach!!

The amount of pictures I took this year at the beach
borders on obscene.  But can you blame me?

Everywhere I went, the camera went.

This also solved (for the most part) the problem of
ME being in pictures.  A fate worse than death.  Or cancer.

We had a week of glorious day after glorious day at the
beach.  Perfect weather, perfect temperatures, perfect time.

I kid you not.  I slept.  Kyle slept.  We had fun.
We relaxed.  We ate well.  We played in the sand.  We
played in the water.  We sat at the beach.  We built
sand sculptures.  We hung out with lots of family.  Kids
played with cousins.  We talked.  We laughed.  We talked
some more.   If there is a heaven, MY heaven will look
like the beach.  If I have to live forever (and goodness
that thought makes me so tired some days) than I want
it somehow to involve "beachy things".

Are you listening God? ;)

Quite possibly I'm going to that "other place" anyway-
so I may not have much say in the matter.

Enjoy a few of my thousands of shots today.

KNOW that it was good.

We were GOOD.

We had FUN!

We had JOY!

We lived!  We breathed!  We were in the moments.

I don't know if any of the other Nielsons love the
beach like the Kyle Nielsons, but maybe that doesn't
matter.   The terminal guy thoroughly loved every
minute of it.

And so did his family.

We wouldn't trade it for all the money in the world.

We wish we could freeze this week in time and live
it over and over again.

Like the movie Groundhog Day.

Pictures, it's what I've got for today!

I just looked at all these pictures and they made me smile.

A SUPER HAPPY smile.

I'm posting beach pictures FOREVER.

Like, seriously! ;)

Hope you don't mind!

  2. Dorien- you have completely outdone yourself with the last 3 posts. I just got caught up today. Darn you for always making me CRY at work!! The beach photos are amazing. Like I'd say that Kyle's true calling in life was to build sand creatures and castles! WOW!! What a memory for your family!! Savor every single moment of it! Hugs!
